Dr. Jerry L. Risser

Dr. Jerry L. Risser began laying the groundwork for Fall Creek Veterinary Medical Center in 2006, after fourteen years in small animal practice. He began practice after completing his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Texas A&M University (1992).

Born in northern Indiana, Dr. Risser grew up in the Midwest before his move to Texas, where he attended high school and completed his Bachelors degree in Veterinary Science (1989), also at Texas A&M, prior to veterinary school. He returned to Indiana after graduation, practicing in group practices in Bloomington and Fishers before launching Fall Creek Veterinary.
Dr. Risser loves the opportunity he has in a smaller practice for extended, "one-on-one" time with his clients and patients, and especially the role he can play in sharing the most up-to-date and helpful information available to help people best care for their pets.

Though Dr. Risser is excited by advancements in all areas of veterinary medicine,
special interests include dermatology, behavior medicine, endocrinology, and surgery, particularly soft-tissue procedures. His professional memberships include the Society for Veterinary Medical Ethics, the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, and Indiana Veterinary Medical Association (IVMA). He was the past president of the Central Indiana Veterinary Medical Association and the 2015 IVMA President. He has been involved with the Hamilton County Animal Task Force, been a recipient of the Excellence in Continuing Education and 2013 President's Awards from the IVMA, and been a preceptor for a Shelter Medicine course with Indiana University. Dr. Risser also has been a guest lecturer for the veterinary technician program at International Business College, is a Boy Scout leader, and heads a team from his church that partners with Kiev Theological Seminary in Ukraine, travelling to Kiev frequently.

In May of 2011, Dr. Risser completed a Master of Arts in Bioethics degree from Trinity International University, in Deerfield, Illinois. Among his research papers are "Obligations in Veterinary Medical Ethics.. Theory & Application", "Veterinary Bioethics: A Proposed Approach from a Christian Thought Perspective," and "End-of-Life Issues in Pets and People: Parallels, Distinctions, and Implications."  He has delivered a lecture on animal welfare at the American Scientific Affiliation, where he is a member.

Dr. Risser's wife, Rebecca, is a Speech/Voice Pathologist with the Indiana Voice Clinic in Carmel. They have three children: son Jameson (14) and daughters Laine (14) and Lydia (13). The Risser family has two dogs: Kelsey, a tri-colored Shetland Sheepdog, gives great kisses, herds basketballs and children, and will bark incessantly at the slightest provocation, and Pippa, a 5-year old who is a mix of a zillion breeds that include Boxer and Irish Setter, and is a happy, bouncy creature that Kelsey is steadily beginning to tolerate.

In time away from practice, and when not chasing after three children, Dr. Risser enjoys gardening/ landscaping, bicycling, running 5Ks, reading, travel (or at least thinking about it), and is an admitted political junkie. The Texas influences come out during football season when his rants at the television increase by several thousand decibels. You can e-mail at drrisser@fallcreekvet.com.

Dr. Aaron M. Luth

Dr. Luth was born in Lafayette, Indiana and is a native of Attica, Indiana. Following high school he attended Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois where he graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine credentials from Purdue University in 2014. He enthusiastically joined Fall Creek Veterinary Medical Center as a full-time Associate Veterinarian in June of 2014. All have enjoyed his medical skills, ready smile, and warm professionalism.

Dr. Luth's largest areas of interest in the veterinary field include small animal internal medicine, surgery, including orthopedics, dentistry, and canine reproduction. He, among our doctors, exclusively performs ultrasound procedures. When not practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Luth enjoys various hobbies including drawing, painting, and woodworking, and has published medical illustrations. He also enjoys spending time outdoors, with particular interests in both freshwater and saltwater fishing, waterfowl hunting, and shooting sports. He and his wife, Megan, were married in June of 2017, and reside in Noblesville.

His dog Kallie is a huge part of his life. He adopted Kallie, a seven-year old Pitbull mix when he worked at an emergency veterinary clinic as a college student.

Dr. Luth is a member of several local and national veterinary organizations. These include the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association (IVMA), the Central Indiana Veterinary Medical Association (CIVMA), and the Purdue Veterinary Alumni Association (PVAA). He recognizes the importance of organized veterinary medicine and has a true appreciation of the value of the highest medical standards. He serves on the Animal Welfare committee with the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association.

With two Aggies already in the practice, it seemed high time for a doctor who could proudly declare: Boiler Up, Hammer Down, and Hail Purdue!

Dr. Wendy E. Moore

Born in Fort Worth, Texas, Dr. Moore claims the distinction of being the only native Texan in the practice.  She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in 1995, followed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1999.  After graduating, she practiced in the greater Houston metropolitan area until her husband’s work brought them to Indiana.  Sixteen years and three children later, they are still here!

Dr. Moore became acquainted with Fall Creek in January of 2015 as an Indianapolis-area relief veterinarian.  Shortly before the expansion into the new facility, she was pleased to become a regular part-time associate.  She enjoys the camaraderie among the staff, and she also appreciates the endemic culture of conscientiousness and compassion in the practice.

Dr. Moore is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association (IVMA).  In addition to her Indiana veterinary license, she is also licensed to practice in Texas.  She has a particular affinity for the Sporting breeds, having owned a Labrador Retriever, a Vizsla, and a Brittany.

In her spare time, Dr. Moore enjoys reading books (especially World War II history), running, and spending time with her Aggie engineer husband and three children.  She also participates in a nursing home ministry through her church.

Since then she has had the pleasure of training a second Jack Russell, a Sheltie and two Border Collies. She also has trained and trialed dogs in agility, herding and tracking. Before moving to Indiana, Anne was a volunteer with a 4-H club teaching obedience and junior showmanship. She has two dogs. Levi, who just turned two and has already earned his first obedience title and is working on a second, was recently joined by Rosa, an Australian shepherd. Anne’s interest and education in grooming started outside the show ring helping friends and family ready their dogs for the conformation ring. She has groomed several breeds for show, most recently Shelties and Portuguese Water Dogs. She especially enjoys working with Terriers, Poodles and Shelties.
